How to Overcome Poisoning
Poisoning occurs when a person swallows, inhales, or touches substances that are harmful to the body. Symptoms of poisoning include abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing, reddened skin, blue lips, convulsions, until loss of consciousness. In the case of poisons ingested, here's how to overcome them:- Ask the sufferer to spit out the remaining toxins in the mouth. However, do not force sufferers to vomit poison that has been swallowed, because it can be dangerous.
- If the patient vomits accidentally, immediately clean his mouth and throat. The trick, wrap a clean cloth to your fingers and hands, then use your fingers to clean the mouth and throat.
- If the patient is unconscious, try to wake him up, then ask him to spit out the remaining toxins that are still in his mouth.
- While waiting for medical help to come, lay the patient on his left side and give a pillow or support to his back. Pull and bend the upper limbs forward. This position is called a recovery position.
- If the poisoning victim is conscious, ask her to sit down and make sure the patient remains conscious until the medical team arrives.
- If the hazardous substance affects the patient's clothes or skin, clean it immediately.
- If the poisoning victim does not breathe, do the CPR (heart pulmonary resuscitation) procedure if you know how.
Inhaled poison

- If the person vomits lying down, tilt his head to the side to prevent choking.
